Enjoy a two-hour wine tasting at Casa Larga Vineyards. You will be able to sample five different Casa Larga wines, or choose from four brands of bottled beer, soft drinks, sparkling grape juice or mineral water. There will also be a variety of imported and domestic cheeses and crackers, along with vegetable crudités and dips to enjoy while tasting wines or other beverages.

Casa Larga is located at one of the highest points in the Finger Lakes region-and is nestled on a hilltop above 44 acres.  Situated between picturesque Lake Ontario to the north and Canandaigua Lake to the south, their vineyards experience a moderating lake effect, which work to their advantage.  They produce 24 different wines from two varietals classes; the European Vinifera and French-American Hybrids.  Particular varieties include Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat D'Ottonel, Pinot Grigio, Vidal, DeChaunac, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

You may choose to go out for dinner or shopping at Eastview Mall.  Eastview is Rochester’s most upscale mall and is anchored by Lord & Taylor, Macy's, JC Penney, The Bon-Ton and Sears. There are more than 180 specialty stores, six sit-down restaurants and a Regal Cinema. 

A distinctive feature at Eastview is the restaurant selection at the front entrance featuring Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano, Bonefish Grill, Champps Americana, and PF Chang's China Bistro.

  • Biaggi’s:  Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere.  Menu includes: antipasti, soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, and entrees and a wide variety of desserts.  Dinner entrées range from:  $13.00-$21.00.
  • Bonefish Grill:  Seafood with “polished casual” ambiance.  Menu includes: starters, soups, salads, grilled fish, sautés (seafood and chicken), chicken and beef specialties and limited desserts.  Dinner entrées range from: $13.00-$19.00.
  • Champps:  American cuisine and sports bar (similar to TGIF).  Menu includes:  starters, soups, salads, specialties, pastas, burgers, sandwiches and desserts.  Prices not available on-line.
  • PF Chang’s:  Chinese cuisine.  Menu includes:  starters, soups, salads, traditional Chinese offerings (chicken, pork, beef, duck, and seafood), vegetarian plates, noodles, dumplings, mien, rice and desserts.  Average entrée: $10.00-$15.00.

Tuesday, June 10th at 7:05 Rochester Red Wings vs. Durham Bulls at Frontier Field (shuttle bus service will be available to take a group to the game)

The Red Wings are the official baseball team of Rochester.  They are a Triple-A team, affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.  The Red Wings finished out their 2007 season with the highest attendance since 1999.  The 2008 season begins in April and there is a home game on June 10th against the Durham Bulls (south division) at Frontier Field, located in Downtown Rochester.  If you are not interested in the wine-tasting or going shopping, then maybe we can “take you out to the ballgame.”

Northfield Common is located next to the towpath of the Erie Canal. The Common captures the aura of one the oldest communities in Monroe County; the well-established Pittsford Village.  The shops at Northfield Common have their own individual characteristics and history.

The Village of Fairport is located in the Town of Perinton on the historic Erie Canal.  There are many specialty shops in the quite village, along with canal-side parks.

    • Fairport Canal Days – June 6-8, 2008

A three-day event with over 400 arts and crafts exhibitors from the United States. The festival attracts over 200,000 visitors and offers a weekend with great food, live music, artisans and Erie Canal activities along Main Street.
